Heyd’s website was a blast from the past when he came to me with a request for a new one. It was a confusing matrix of elements that distracted from the core raison d’être of the site itself – the artwork and the artist.
With some references in hand, we set out to design a site that expanded on the ideas we pulled, but also refined the user experience so Heyd’s website visitors never felt lost and always felt excited about their journey exploring his work.
In the end, the website achieved every goal we set out with one surprise: It made Heyd feel accomplished when he saw all his work, achievements and press in one place. It made him feel like a total badass. A distinction that is well deserved for this full-time artist.
